PE Contract Electrical Professional Engineer – Security Systems Design Review

4Liberty, Inc. is seeking licensed Electrical Professional Engineers (PEs) to support the review and stamping of security system design packages across multiple U.S. jurisdictions. This role involves reviewing design documentation for compliance with various building codes and providing professional approval for submission to authorities.

Responsibilities:

• Review of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and related low voltage systems
• Validation of code compliance including NFPA 101, NFPA 72, IBC, NEC, and local AHJ requirements
• Verification of egress compliance, fail-safe vs fail-secure hardware, and free egress conditions
• Review of design documentation including door schedules, floor plans, risers, wiring, and power calculations
• Provide redlines or comments where design updates are required
• Stamp and approve design packages for permit submission when compliant

Requirements:

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in one or more U.S. states
• Experience reviewing electrical or low voltage systems
• Strong understanding of security, life safety, and building code requirements
• Experience with access control, CCTV, or intrusion systems
• Familiarity with AHJ permitting processes
• NCEES record or multi-state licensure capability
