About this role
Crossover is a company focused on maintaining uptime for a portfolio of SaaS products. They are seeking a DevOps Engineer who will manage infrastructure initiatives, respond to production outages, and implement automation and monitoring to ensure high reliability across their systems.
Responsibilities:
- Executing complex infrastructure migrations, consolidations, production-quality automations, and monitoring enhancements
- Responding to production outages with triage, immediate remediation, and root cause analyses that assign permanent fixes to accountable teams
- Authoring, reviewing, and deploying changes to production environments, including safety validation before execution
- Drive reliability and standardization of cloud infrastructure across our expanding product portfolio by deploying comprehensive monitoring, automation, and AWS best practices
Requirements:
- Deep AWS infrastructure expertise (this is our primary platform - other cloud experience alone won't cut it)
- Experience managing production infrastructure at a scale of 1,000+ containers
- Experience scripting with Python and Bash for day-to-day administration operations
- Experience managing and migrating production databases with multiple engines (including MySql, Postgres, Oracle, MS-SQL)
- Experience with infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation)
