About this role
SS&C Technologies is a leading financial services and healthcare technology company headquartered in Windsor, Connecticut. They are seeking a Salesforce Developer to design, develop, and maintain custom Salesforce applications while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain custom Salesforce applications, Apex classes, Visualforce pages, Platform Events, Lightning Components, and triggers
- Implement and configure Salesforce features, including custom objects, fields, flows and validation rules
- Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other internal and external systems using APIs, web services, and middleware
- Perform data migration, data quality analysis, and data cleansing activities
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and propose effective Salesforce solutions
- Write and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and release notes
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for existing Salesforce applications
- Stay up-to-date with new Salesforce releases, features, and best practices
- Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to development standards and best practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Developer
- Proven expertise in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and JavaScript
- Strong understanding of Salesforce platform architecture, data model, and security model
- Experience with Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP, Metadata API) and integrating Salesforce with other systems
- Proficiency in SOQL and SOSL
- Familiarity with Salesforce development best practices, including version control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification is required
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Salesforce Platform Developer II certification is a plus
- Experience with Agile development methodologies is preferred
- Experience with CPQ is preferred
