Accion Labs is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a 100% remote, 6-month contract-to-hire position. The role involves leading complex digital initiatives, managing multiple projects, and ensuring successful delivery aligned with business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Direct the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and close of digital product initiatives of varying size and complexity
- Lead delivery of multi-workstream initiatives spanning digital platforms, applications, integrations, and data capabilities
- Serve as a primary point of coordination across Product, Engineering, Architecture, Data, Operations, and external delivery partners
- Translate business and product objectives into clearly defined delivery plans, milestones, and success metrics
- Manage project dependencies, milestones, critical paths, and cross-team coordination
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans including scope, schedules, resources, assumptions, risks, budgets, and change management
- Analyze, manage, and report on project performance including financials, resource allocation, risks, and delivery forecasts
- Provide clear, concise status reporting and executive-level communication, including RAID tracking and KPI visibility
- Proactively identify delivery risks and issues; assess potential impacts and drive mitigation strategies
- Support Agile and hybrid delivery models, including coordination across product backlogs, release planning, PI planning, and incremental delivery
- Request and onboard project resources as needed to support successful delivery
- Serve as an individual contributor while acting as a thought leader and innovative partner within the IT PMO
- Mentor and support junior project managers
Requirements:
- Strong judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex IT or digital initiatives in cross-functional environments
- Experience supporting digital products, platforms, or customer-facing systems, including applications and data-driven solutions
- Ability to manage multiple medium-sized projects or a single large, complex initiative simultaneously
- Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies, including Agile, hybrid, and traditional approaches
- Proven ability to manage schedules, dependencies, risks, and financials across multiple workstreams
- Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources to generate insight on project performance
- Strong relationship-building, influencing, and communication skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and vice versa
- Demonstrated ability to drive clarity and progress in environments with evolving requirements and ambiguity
- Ability to remain effective in high-pressure or high-visibility situations
- Accountable for successful delivery of complex digital initiatives on time, within budget, and aligned to business objectives
- Clearly define and communicate roles and responsibilities for stakeholders, project team members, and business partners
- Maintain regular project cadence including weekly status reporting, RAID logs, and delivery metrics
- Ensure adherence to established Project Management Frameworks and governance standards
- Define and socialize the business benefits and value delivered by digital initiatives and how they align to broader organizational goals
