NV5 is a company that specializes in project management and engineering services. They are seeking an Electrical Technical Project Manager to manage electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure commissioning and energization work, ensuring electrical reliability and effective project execution.
Responsibilities:
- Gather the following types of documents: Site drawings, arc flash studies, coordination studies, QAQC documentation, megger, torque and PowerDB reports
- Follow up to resolve and close out punchlist deficiency log items
- Responsible for financial budgets per project and monthly reporting
- Responsible for scheduling and coordinating NV5 Field Engineer witness testing to oversee LV and MV equipment
- Convey overall project status to clients by means of discussions, presentations, and project reports
- Facilitate communication between Field Engineers and Vendors onsite. Assist in interpreting deficiencies and providing correct path forward
- Attend daily construction status meetings including commissioning kick off calls
- Ability to engage with multiple stakeholder groups and coordinate remotely
- Responsible for the effective management of own time and effort
- Must have excellent communication skills, ability to manage several sites simultaneously and work in fast paced work environment
Requirements:
- Education in an Electrical discipline is required
- Experience within engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) and wiring of commercial building electrical infrastructure or similar is a plus
- Understanding of SEL relay functionality and programing requirements
- Experience with Low and Medium voltage switchgear (600V- 35kV) and circuit breakers
- Must be able to read and understand single line diagrams
- Field resource scheduling experience is a must
- Must be organized and have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft programs including Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, Adobe / Bluebeam and Smartsheet
