The ERP Business Analyst will partner with Finance and business stakeholders to optimize finance processes within Oracle ERP, translating business needs into functional requirements and driving process standardization.
Responsibilities:
- Build working relationships with finance teams understanding their processes and staying abreast of planned changes
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support ERP-related finance initiatives across diverse platforms
- Drive assigned projects aligned with the strategic direction of the Global ERP Director, Corporate Finance, and senior leadership
- Identify and propose new initiatives or improvements that optimize financial systems and processes
- Ensure solutions comply with finance standards, including IFRS, and internal audit requirements
- Maintain a strong understanding of core finance processes and recommend process improvements
- Partner with finance teams to analyze, document, and translate business needs into functional and technical requirements
- Facilitate clear communication between technical teams and finance stakeholders
- Support testing, training, and deployment activities for system changes
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and best practices
- Use correct methods in accordance with the established procedures and schedules while ensuring analytical quality
- Observe established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures
- Monitoring production support incident queue and ticket assignment
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- A minimum of Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field is required
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst / Finance Systems Analyst supporting ERP finance processes
- Strong finance and accounting knowledge (GL, AP, AR, accruals, reconciliations, period close)
- Oracle Fusion experience
- Oracle certifications in finance modules would be an asset
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to make effective presentations on controversial or complex topics
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office
