Staff Software Development Engineer

CVS Health is focused on building a connected and compassionate health experience for individuals. They are seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to lead Salesforce initiatives, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and delivering high-performance solutions in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the senior technical lead for the RXBEN Salesforce platform, owning solution design, engineering standards, and complex implementation decisions
• Ensure solutions comply with healthcare and insurance regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and enterprise security standards
• Partner with architects, product owners, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, secure Salesforce solutions
• Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability for high‑volume enterprise data and mission‑critical workflows
• Mentor senior and mid‑level engineers, conduct code and design reviews, and enforce best practices across teams

Requirements:

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience & hands-on Salesforce development experience
• 4+ years delivering complex enterprise Salesforce implementations, including integrations and platform customization
• 4+ years Hands-on experience with Git-based source control and CI/CD pipelines
• 5+ years' Experience working in Agile environments
• Salesforce Certifications: Platform Developer II, Salesforce Platform Administrator I, Application Architect
• Experience in Healthcare, Insurance or Pharmacy domains
• Experience modernizing or simplifying legacy Salesforce orgs
• Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies and tools such as Rally or Jira
• Experience with MuleSoft or other middleware / ETL tools
• Knowledge of Salesforce AI capabilities
