Metallurgical Applications Engineer

They are seeking a Metallurgical Applications Engineer to provide technical support for grinding media, optimize milling performance, and enhance customer relationships within the mining and mineral processing sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for grinding media and related products
• Visit customers to assess needs and advise on process optimization
• Train customers on product use and best practices
• Investigate concerns and recommend improvements
• Monitor performance data and prepare customer analytics
• Support forecasting and track competitive information
• Coordinate with internal teams for smooth order execution
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow QMS/EMS/OHS requirements
• Represent Molycop professionally and build strong customer relationships

Requirements:

• Degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Mineral Processing, or related field
• 5+ years in mineral processing, preferably grinding circuits
• Strong knowledge of SAG and ball mill operations and grinding media
• Experience in technical support, optimization, or product application
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and technical data analysis
• Strong communication skills for reports, presentations, and customer interactions
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and conduct root‑cause analysis
• Able to work independently, manage priorities, and make sound decisions
