Inframark, is seeking an experienced Civil, Environmental, or Agricultural Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate brings 5 or more years of hands-on experience in water, wastewater, and stormwater project design combined with environmental regulatory compliance. This is a client-facing, field-active role with responsibility across the full project lifecycle — from engineering design and permitting through construction support and client reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Engineering Design
• Develop engineering plans, specifications, and calculations for water, wastewater, and stormwater projects
• Design hydraulic systems and model wastewater, water, and stormwater treatment processes
• Produce AutoCAD and Revit construction drawings and coordinate design and project bid packages
• Prepare technical reports, engineering evaluations, and basis-of-design documents
• Develop engineering opinions of probable construction and operating costs and project schedules
Environmental Compliance & Permitting
• Develop environmental permitting and local building permitting documents for wastewater, drinking water, and stormwater treatment systems
• Manage regulatory compliance programs for water, wastewater, and stormwater
• Prepare and submit permit applications to EPA and state agencies
• Develop other environmental compliance plans (e.g., pollution control plans, operation and maintenance plans for pollution control systems, contingency plans for pollution control systems, corrective action plans)
• Review and interpret applicable environmental laws, regulations, and rules for pollution control projects.
• Develop correspondence and conduct meetings with environmental regulators and other government officials.
Client & Field Work
• Visit client sites for meetings, data collection, system observation and troubleshooting, development of corrective actions, and other related services
• Build and maintain client relationships; serve as a trusted technical advisor
• Deliver presentations to clients, regulators, and other stakeholders
• Support clients in industrial sectors including food, manufacturing, energy production, and agricultural products processing
Project & Proposal Development
• Manage project scope, budget, and schedule from start to completion
• Prepare proposals, develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules
• Coordinate with internal team members and contribute to a collaborative work environment
• Work with junior engineers to train them on project design work.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
• B.S. in Civil, Environmental, Agricultural, or related Engineering discipline
• 5+ years of experience in water/wastewater/stormwater design and environmental compliance
• EIT certification required; actively pursuing PE
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit ArcGIS, BioWin or other biological wastewater treatment system modeling tools, and Microsoft Office
• Strong technical writing, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to perform field work and travel to client sites across the U.S.
Preferred
• Active PE license, with preference for Civil PE
• Strong knowledge of EPA and state environmental regulations
• Experience with food and agricultural processing facilities, including meat processing plants, and manufacturing plants
• Ability to conduct effective stakeholder presentations
• Experience writing proposals and developing project scopes, budgets, and schedules
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Primarily office-based with occasional field work at client sites throughout the U.S., concentrated in the southeastern U.S.
• Field work may involve industrial environments, outdoor weather, walking, and climbing ladders
• PPE and site safety protocols required during all field assignments
• Background check may be required for work on certain energy projects
