Staff AI Engineer

People In AI is partnering with a venture-backed fintech platform building the AI operating layer for modern wealth management. This role focuses on designing and shipping production-grade, customer-facing multi-agent systems that impact financial workflows for advisors and asset managers.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy multi-agent systems powering copilots, automation tools, and investment workflows
• Build end-to-end LLM pipelines (retrieval, reasoning, tool use, validation, compliance)
• Architect agent orchestration layers (memory, state management, tool routing)
• Develop scalable backend services with strong observability and fault tolerance
• Define and implement evaluation frameworks (accuracy, hallucination mitigation, correctness)
• Contribute to platform-level architecture decisions (model serving, vector DBs, infra)
• Collaborate closely with product teams to translate real-world financial workflows into AI systems

Requirements:

• Proven experience shipping LLM / GenAI systems into production
• Hands-on expertise with multi-agent systems and orchestration frameworks
• Strong background in RAG pipelines and retrieval systems
• Solid backend and distributed systems engineering experience
• Experience deploying and scaling systems in cloud environments
• Builder mindset with the ability to operate end-to-end
• Strong product intuition and ability to map AI to real-world use cases
• Interest in financial systems (or willingness to ramp quickly)
