Work Location Details: The first month will be onsite, then it will go to two days a week remote maximum. This is not a telework position; candidates must be able to work in the Richmond, VA office as needed.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:We are searching for a quality C# developer to program, maintain code, and .NET solutions for our business. In this role, you will be required to design, write, and maintain C# program code for our future and ongoing projects. You will also be required to contribute to design and planning sessions as well as formulate approaches for current coding tasks.
This is a contract-to-hire position.
Key Responsibilities:- Developing C# .NET solutions for the organization.
- Creating in-house applications using the .NET framework.
- Debugging and maintaining written code (no API's).
- Defining and organizing projects on an ongoing basis.
- Reporting and resolving issues related to .NET projects.
- Identifying and handling technical risks and issues.
- Working in a project team alongside other developers.
- Providing technical support to stakeholders in the organization.
- Reporting on project statuses and developments to senior team members.
- Participating in project meetings with management and other team members.
Required Skills & Experience:- Developing high-quality applications in C#/Angular/SQL Server.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with large menu driven business systems, such as claims processing, payroll, medical, or insurance type applications.
- Knowledgeable in transferring data between application screens, selecting and scrolling through large amounts of data, add/update/delete order-entry type of transactions, and building new screens and reports.
- Excellent grasp of C# and the .NET framework.
- Prolific coding abilities and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle the creation, maintenance, and further development of .NET applications and programs.
- C# programming experience (minimum 5 years).
- .NET 3.1 (or higher) (minimum 1 year).
- Angular (minimum 2 years).
- SQL Server (minimum 3 years).
- Visual Studio/Visual Studio Code (minimum 3 years).
- T-SQL (minimum 1 year).
- Knowledge of build and deployment repositories such as Azure Dev Ops or Git Hub.
- Ability to write clean, easy to understand code.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and complete projects with minimal supervision.
- Sound understanding of coding and development processes.
- Experience with working in an agile environment.
Nice to Have Skills:
- gRPC (minimum 1 year).
- Knowledge of other coding languages (COBOL, PHP, C+, Java, Python, Coldfusion, etc.).
- Coldfusion experience (minimum 1 year).
