About this role
Bestow is a leading vertical technology platform focused on modernizing life insurance. The Senior Backend Engineer will develop core services using Golang and PostgreSQL, ensuring software security and maintainability while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- You will be developing core services primarily using Golang and PostgreSQL
- Resolve issues with previously delivered features
- Write unit and integration tests for code you create
- Peer review code developed by others on your team
- Ensure software is secure, maintainable
- Work with designers, product managers, and other engineers
- Encourage automation and continuous improvement
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience (backend)
- Professional experience with Golang (Go)
- Experience using Docker for local software development
- An advocate for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
- Experience with distributed systems or microservices
- Experience designing APIs (Protocol Buffers, RAML, Swagger, OpenAPI, etc.)
