Software Engineer II

POOLCORP is the leading business-to-business distributor of swimming pool and landscape supplies, equipment, and related outdoor living products. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and implementing solutions to improve business processes and streamline employee work.

Responsibilities:

• Meets with analyst and employees to outline system requirements
• Works with analyst to estimate projects and determine timelines
• Develops applications with budget/timeline in accordance with requirements using standard coding techniques/methodology
• Performs initial testing of the application to an acceptable level
• Implements applications in a thorough and efficient manner
• Maintains an expectable level of technical knowledge through the use of provided training opportunities
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of experience in programming/analysis, including designing and developing complex programs from detailed specifications
• BA Degree
• Expert in current programming technology such as VB.NET, C#.NET, ASP.NET, SQL 2008+, and all Microsoft operating systems
• Knowledge of Client-side scripting, Graphic Design, HTML, XML, and IIS are a plus
• Familiarity with Microsoft MSDN, Platform SDK, and TechNet documentation
• Strong computer skills including use of MS Office programs
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
