Technical Fulfilment Specialist (Firmware Test Engineer)/Remote

Apetan Consulting LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Fulfilment Specialist with a strong background in firmware testing. The role involves validating embedded systems, ensuring firmware quality, and supporting product releases by executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute firmware test plans and test cases based on product requirements
• Perform manual and automated testing of embedded systems and firmware
• Identify, document, and track bugs using defect management tools
• Validate firmware functionality, performance, stability, and reliability
• Work closely with firmware developers, hardware engineers, and QA teams to resolve issues
• Conduct regression, integration, and system-level testing
• Support product deployment and fulfilment processes, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards
• Analyze test results and provide detailed reports and recommendations
• Assist in developing test automation frameworks where applicable
• Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and industry best practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 2–5 years of experience in firmware or embedded systems testing
• Strong understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and hardware-software interaction
• Experience with testing tools, debugging techniques, and defect tracking systems
• Familiarity with C/C++ and scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.)
• Knowledge of communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.)
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with test automation frameworks
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (e.g., Git)
• Knowledge of RTOS or Linux-based embedded systems
• Understanding of hardware schematics and board bring-up
