Auxilius builds clinical trial financial management software that helps drug companies take control over trial costs, manage financial risk, and optimize R&D spend. The Product Manager will lead and shape key parts of the Auxilius platform, owning product strategy and execution while aligning cross-functional stakeholders and advocating for platform investment.
Responsibilities:
- Own and shape product strategy for your area, synthesizing insights from customers, data, and market trends into clear roadmaps
- Own and prioritize product backlog, ensuring the team is working on the highest-impact initiatives
- Lead the full product lifecycle from discovery through launch and iteration
- Align cross-functional stakeholders on priorities and create clarity in ambiguous situations
- Advocate for platform investment over just feature work, thinking about how your product area connects to the broader product and platform vision
- Lead discovery and feedback calls with customers independently to uncover needs, validate solutions, and build trusted relationships
- Synthesize insights from quantitative and qualitative data (customer interviews, Pendo, ProductBoard, etc.) into actionable roadmap priorities
- Build deep empathy for finance, accounting, and clinical operations users by understanding their workflows end-to-end and anticipate their needs
- Understand the broader market opportunity and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions
- Partner directly with Sales and Operations teams for continuous feedback loops
- Define and deliver intuitive product experiences for financial and accounting workflows involving large datasets, tables, reconciliations, rollups, edge cases, and multi-step processes
- Partner deeply with Design to translate dense information into clear, trustworthy interfaces
- Collaborate directly with Engineering (whiteboarding, prototyping, and iteration)
- Navigate dependencies to ensure your product integrates seamlessly with the broader platform
- Lead major feature execution, anticipating dependencies and managing risk
- Craft clear narratives that connect customer problems to solutions, tailoring your message to different audiences (internal, external) and contexts. Produce PRDs, Feature Briefs, and Tickets that are thoughtful, clear, and compelling
- Present roadmaps to leadership and build exec-ready narratives that persuade through data and customer stories
- Balance trade-offs between speed and scalability, partnering closely with engineering on technical decisions
- Bring excellence in product craft and help level up the team's product thinking through mentoring and best-practice sharing
- Improve team processes by optimizing rituals, identifying bottlenecks, and raising the bar on execution
Requirements:
- 5+ years of product management experience in B2B or enterprise SaaS, with a proven track record of leading product areas end-to-end
- Experience building enterprise-grade products in a startup or growth-stage environment, where you've had to balance enterprise requirements (reliability, auditability, scalability) with startup constraints (small team, fast iteration, limited resources)
- Demonstrated ability to shape product strategy, synthesize insights from multiple sources, and translate them into clear roadmaps
- Experience leading discovery independently, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, and managing ambiguity
- Experience building data-dense, complex, workflow-heavy products
- Strong mental model for data work and familiarity with excel. Comfortable thinking about data standardization, modeling, benchmarking, and analytics as product features
- Deep comfort with the design process: fluent in tools like Figma, experienced in collaborating with designers from discovery through delivery
- Excellence in product craft with proven ability to mentor and elevate team capabilities—you bring formal training or deep knowledge of modern methods and can teach, not just execute
- Strong communication skills. Can craft compelling narratives, present to leadership, and explain complex workflows clearly
- Experience building financial or accounting software; understand what is essential when you ask users to leave excel (manual, but comfortable!)
- Multi-product or platform experience where you've advocated for architectural decisions and platform thinking
- Familiarity with healthcare or life sciences industries
- Experience building products where accuracy, auditability, and user trust are critical
- Can build deep enough product knowledge to play a technical sales or SME role - can demo products, handle objections, and speak credibly about capabilities in customer/prospect conversations
- Experience influencing pricing, packaging, or positioning decisions (GTM strategy)
