GovCIO is seeking a QA Engineer who will thrive in a fast-paced team environment. This customer-facing role will be instrumental in ensuring customer satisfaction through manual testing in a federal government client environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, publish, and implement test plans for complex, multi-tier, distributed, applications throughout the full lifecycle
- Develop manual or automated testing systems using commercial tools, scripts and data set
- Participates in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, load and system testing
- Assures the appropriate level of quality by the resolution of important defects by working with developers and/or engineers to ensure the software or hardware development process has an appropriate level of testing
- Develops response strategies and processes for high-criticality and security vulnerability related bug notifications
- Pro-actively investigates and finds potential security holes and attack vectors within both the existing and newly developed code base
- Agile/Scrum Methodologies: Working in iterative development cycles with cross-functional teams
- Communicate effectively with federal clients, developers, and program managers
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, or related field or commensurate experience
- 8+ years of experience
- 4 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
- Experience with Jira, X-ray, AWS
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, specifically Kanban
- Must be able to obtain a DHS Public Trust
- US Citizenship is required
