Sr. Group Product Manager - US Derivatives

Kraken is a mission-focused company rooted in crypto values, aiming to accelerate the global adoption of crypto for financial freedom and inclusion. They are seeking a Senior Group Product Manager to lead the development of their US Derivatives product suite, focusing on product innovation and collaboration across various functions to ensure a world-class trading experience.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with senior leadership to define and execute the US derivatives strategy, covering futures, perpetuals, options, structured products, and emerging retail-friendly contracts
• Lead product innovation in US retail derivatives, including prediction markets, event contracts, and simplified instruments designed for accessibility
• Dive deep into the technical, operational, functional, mathematical and legal complexities in order to design and improve the scale, performance, profitability, and efficiency of our US Derivative offering
• Establish detailed product requirements including UI/UX, calculations, API, and processes, and take ownership of their successful build and delivery
• Keep track of industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive offerings to ensure Kraken is positioned for long-term success in a highly dynamic market
• Leverage analytics to monitor product performance, trader behavior, and market trends
• Lead and mentor a team of product managers and analysts, in order to achieve our objectives
• Partner with Pro BU and cross-functional leaders to accelerate product and market expansion

Requirements:

• 7+ years' experience in US derivatives trading, structuring, or exchange leadership (crypto, FX, or traditional markets - focused within the US)
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex, high-impact products
• Expertise in derivatives market microstructure, risk management, and incentive frameworks
• Strong product vision for retail derivatives, including event-driven contracts and gamified/prediction markets
• Familiarity with API-driven trading ecosystems and the requirements of high-frequency and retail traders alike
• Comfort navigating complex and evolving US derivatives regulatory environments
• Detailed knowledge of trading market participants, their different incentives and constraints
• Exceptional knowledge of the US CFTC DCMs and their product and exchange functional offerings
• Strong knowledge of global crypto derivative offerings across traditional markets and crypto-native CeFi & DeFi
• Macro-to-micro versatility: strategic mindset coupled with obsessive attention to detail
