OPAL Fuels is a leader in the capture and conversion of biogas into low carbon intensity RNG and renewable electricity. They are seeking a Project Manager EPC to manage sub-contractors and oversee commercial and industrial construction projects, ensuring safety, budget, and schedule compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Manage projects during the development, pre-construction, construction, and commissioning phases
- Serve as the primary point of contact and maintain consistent and thorough communication with key stakeholders (both internal and external)
- Ensure smooth transitions between project phases through close coordination with members of the development and operations teams
- Accountable for safety, scope, budget, risk management and schedule of assigned projects
- Projects will be a mix of the following: conversion of biogas to Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) or biogas to Renewable Electricity; Greenfield development, brownfield redevelopment, or distressed asset rehabilitation; EPC or design build project delivery
- Oversee or directly perform the completion of: owner-related permitting; contracting with consultants and contractors; negotiations and contractual agreements; utility interconnections (natural gas, power, water, sanitary, internet, etc.); land or land rights acquisition; estimating; bidding; equipment procurement; logistics and material transport
- Ensure compliance and reporting for permits, material contracts, lenders, and equity
- Manage costs, schedules, risks, deliverables, tasks, and reporting
Requirements:
- BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
- Ten plus years of industrial scale project management experience
- Experience working on gas processing projects such as RNG, gas transmission and compression, gas treating, air separation, LNG, CNG, hydrogen, or related
- Must be able to adapt and pivot in response to changes on a day-to-day basis
- Demonstratable skills and experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore, Primavera, or MS Project
- Strong understanding of project controls and contract management
- Experience managing projects with CAPEX greater than $50MM
- Ability to manage concurrent projects in multiple states
- Approximately 30% travel overnight normally, but during plant commissioning your presence may be required on-site daily
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Must have appropriate experience within the United States
- Advanced degree (MS or MBA)
- PMP certification
