They are seeking a Sr. Specialist Supplier Quality Engineer to support their Quality Supplier team, focusing on resolving supplier issues and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Planners, Program Quality Engineers, and Receiving Inspection to resolve supplier issues
- Visit suppliers and perform product acceptance of electrical assemblies
- Interface with internal and external customers; i.e., engineering, manufacturing, supplier, procurement to ensure requirements are met
- Analyze supplier processes and planning to verify compliance with purchase orders, engineering drawings, processes, specifications, etc
- Work with suppliers to resolve issues with purchase order inspection packages
- Investigate and report supplier quality history as requested by quality engineering or Quality & Mission Assurance (Q&MA) management
- Visit suppliers and perform investigation and root cause analysis to drive improvements into their processes
- Be accountable for assigned suppliers' performance and ensure suppliers are performing with a 100% quality rating
- Visit suppliers to review technical, quality and other contractual requirements and ensure the supplier has an adequate understanding to develop a plan to meet all the requirements
- Review the suppliers' plans for adequacy and ensure all requirements are met. This includes, pre-award, post award, manufacturing readiness and other periodic reviews as requested
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant quality experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related quality experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related quality experience
- Possession of a valid driver's license
- Employees who drive on company business to carry out job-related duties must possess a valid driver's license for the class of vehicle driven and meet automobile insurability requirements of the company
- Ability to synthesize and analyze data from several sources and develop a plan to take action based upon the data
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a close-knit team environment
- J-STD-001 Certification Preferred
- IPC-610 Certification Preferred
- J-STD-001 Space Addendum Certification Preferred
- Strong problem solving, RCCA and investigation experience
- Certified Quality Engineer strongly preferred
