About this role
ReClym Health is an early-stage startup focused on transforming the operational backbone of mental health and wellness. The Founding AI Engineer will work closely with the founder and healthcare advisors to shape the product and technology, with responsibilities including building voice provider integrations and data collection pipelines.
Responsibilities:
- Plug in new voice providers or swap existing ones with minimal friction
- Data collection pipelines — raw call transcripts → structured, queryable outputs
- Observability layer: logging and metrics across the full call lifecycle
- Expand the agent config system so new agents can be defined and launched without touching code
Requirements:
- Experience with healthcare tools, HIPAA, insurance billing systems, or compliance
- 1 - 4 years full-stack development experience (or strong project/startup experience)
- Comfortable with React/Next.js, Node/Python, Postgres
- Document parsing + OCR/NLP workflows
- Strong async Python — FastAPI, asyncio, httpx
- Real LLM API experience: prompt engineering, tool/function calling, structured output extraction
- Fluent with third-party REST APIs and webhook patterns
- Experience with data storage patterns (PostgreSQL, S3, or event streaming)
- Voice or telephony platforms (Twilio, Vapi, ElevenLabs, Smallest.ai)
- Speech-to-text or transcription pipelines (Whisper, Deepgram, AssemblyAI)
- Conversational AI agents or agentic pipeline design
