Senior Distinguished Software Engineer (Remote-Eligible)

Capital One is a financial services company seeking a Senior Distinguished Software Engineer to join their team of technical experts. In this role, you will lead the modernization of core credit card platforms and ensure high-quality technical design and implementation while mentoring other engineers.

• Act as a role model and mentor within the tech community, helping to coach and strengthen the technical expertise and know-how of our engineering and product community

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 9 years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture
• At least 9 years of experience in Enterprise architecture and design patterns
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 10+ years of professional experience coding in commonly used languages like Java, Python, Go
• 10+ years of professional experience in the full lifecycle of system development, from conception through architecture, implementation, testing, deployment and production support
• 3+ years of experience with public or private cloud technologies
• 5+ years of experience architecting and leading the large-scale modernization of complex, legacy platforms into resilient, cloud-native environments
• 5+ years of experience building high-performance distributed systems capable of seamless horizontal scaling to support massive transaction volumes and global-scale data throughput
