HiTHIUM Energy Storage is a leading company in the energy sector, focusing on innovative energy storage solutions. The Field Service Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting the company’s expansion in the Americas, managing the lifecycle of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects from commissioning to maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Lifecycle Project Leadership: Serve as the on-site technical expert and primary customer point of contact for BESS projects
- On-Site Project Execution: Lead the end-to-end on-site execution of system installations, commissioning, and maintenance, ensuring high-quality delivery and on-time completion through seamless coordination with internal teams and customers
- System Troubleshooting and Repairs: Lead the diagnosis and repair of electrical and communication system faults, implementing effective solutions to maintain optimal BESS performance and minimize downtime
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide comprehensive technical and project management updates to customers and internal teams to ensure total project alignment
- Internal Coordination: Drive collaboration across Technical, Quality, and R&D teams to ensure on-time project delivery and develop aligned solutions for field issues
- Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to safety protocols and PPE standards while managing third-party vendor technicians to maintain safe working environments at all Hithium sites
- Global Collaboration: Work effectively within a multicultural setting, coordinating with overseas teams across various time zones to ensure global service standards are met
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with a proven track record in commissioning, troubleshooting and repairing complex electrical systems, including high-voltage systems, inverters, transformers, BESS, power electronics, and SCADA systems
- Proficiency in interpreting electrical schematics and technical documentation in English
- Professional-level verbal and written communication skills in English
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time, frequently to remote or challenging locations such as deserts or high-altitude sites
- Ability to independently and safely perform technical work in harsh outdoor environments while strictly adhering to safety and PPE standards
- A degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), or a related technical field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience
