Trilyon, Inc. is seeking a skilled Network Security Administrator (Contractor) to support state agencies in maintaining secure, compliant, and modern network infrastructures. This role focuses on network security operations, firewall administration, and compliance with federal security standards.
Responsibilities:
- Review, analyze, and execute Firewall Service Requests (FSRs), break-fix tickets, and formal change requests
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewall environments including Cisco ASA and Palo Alto firewalls
- Support infrastructure modernization efforts, including decommissioning and refreshing End-of-Life (EOL) hardware
- Implement and maintain security configurations to ensure compliance with IRS, FBI, and Criminal Justice Information (CJI) standards
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and agency stakeholders to support network security initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, changes, and operational procedures
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, including: Security policies and zones, Site-to-Site (S2S) VPNs, NAT configuration, Basic threat prevention
- Strong experience with Cisco ASA Firewalls, including: Configuration and administration, Troubleshooting and rule management
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: Routing protocols, Subnetting, OSI model

- Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, changes, and operational procedures
- Work 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday)
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours incident support
- Be available for scheduled maintenance windows and emergency response outside standard business hours
- Must be able to pass criminal and financial background checks, as well as a drug screening
- Experience working in government or highly regulated environments
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as IRS, FBI CJIS, or similar
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
