Data Center Deployment Engineer

NetSuite is a company that provides cloud-based business management software. They are seeking a Data Center Deployment Engineer to deploy physical plant cabling systems, implement infrastructure for Oracle data centers, and collaborate with various teams to ensure project deliverables are completed on time.

Responsibilities:

• Contributes to designs for structured cabling solutions for new data center builds and expansions
• Deploys physical plant cabling systems as instructed
• Adheres to global data center cabling and infrastructure standards
• Troubleshoots standard and non-standard cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords
• Implements infrastructure for Oracle data centers
• Delivers sustainable and repeatable solutions to support the continuous improvement of data centers
• Understands the scope of project work by reviewing the Bill of Materials and resources available and reviews the project roadmap to align with the scope and business needs
• Prioritizes customer experience in project planning and delivery
• Builds relationships with Program Management teams to support completion of project deliverables on time
• Reports on and documents project updates to inform team leads of status and roadblocks
• Maintains documentation on cabling and build standards for data center infrastructure
• Begins to collaborate with vendors to deliver build out of data center infrastructure
• Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with internal project stakeholders
• Independently manages work, monitoring timelines and deliverables to ensure projects or initiatives stay on track and meet requirements
• Proactively prioritizes work and adapts to resource or timeline shifts, suggesting adjustments to maintain project efficiency
• Collaborates across teams to align on expectations and achieve shared objectives
• Builds and maintains a comprehensive understanding of business, stakeholder, and/or customer needs to build and support effective partnerships
• Actively listens to diverse perspectives and asks questions to ensure understanding of others
• Independently identifies and addresses standard and non-standard issues in accordance with standard practices, escalating more complex issues as appropriate
• Analyzes data and/or information from multiple sources to troubleshoot standard and non-standard errors

Requirements:

• 3 to 5+ years of experience in technology operations
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Experience deploying physical plant cabling systems
• Knowledge of structured cabling solutions for data center builds and expansions
• Ability to adhere to global data center cabling and infrastructure standards
• Experience troubleshooting standard and non-standard cabling infrastructure connectivity issues
• Experience implementing infrastructure for data centers
• Ability to deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions for continuous improvement
• Understanding of project scope and ability to review Bill of Materials and resources
• Ability to prioritize customer experience in project planning and delivery
• Experience building relationships with Program Management teams
• Ability to report on and document project updates
• Experience maintaining documentation on cabling and build standards
• Ability to collaborate with vendors for data center infrastructure build out
• Ability to manage work independently and monitor timelines and deliverables
