Prosum is seeking a Senior IBM Middleware Support Engineer to provide reactive, third-party software support for a large enterprise environment leveraging IBM MQ and IBM Sterling platforms. This role focuses on troubleshooting, issue resolution, and root cause analysis within a 24x7 support model.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to support tickets in accordance with SLA:Sev 1 / Sev 2: 24x7, 1-hour responseSev 3 / Sev 4: Business hours response
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and issue resolution across MQ and Sterling environments
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring or critical incidents
- Provide clear, actionable guidance to client teams (remote “we guide, they execute” model)
- Assist with:Queue manager issues
- Message flow failures
- Performance degradation
- Connectivity/integration issues
- File transfer and gateway issues (Sterling)
- Collaborate with internal team on escalations and knowledge sharing
Requirements:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with IBM MQ (WebSphere MQ)
- 5+ years of experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator / File Gateway
- Strong experience troubleshooting: MQ queue managers, channels, clustering
- Message flow and integration issues
- High-availability and distributed environments
- Experience in enterprise-scale environments
- Ability to diagnose issues without OEM/vendor escalation
