Crossover is expanding a nationwide microschool network with a focus on AI-driven education. The Field Project Manager will oversee on-site construction operations, manage project schedules, and leverage technology to ensure timely delivery of school construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage on-site construction operations, collaborating directly with contractors to ensure tasks are completed in correct order and on time
- Take ownership of project schedules, monitor key milestones, spot emerging risks, and initiate corrective measures when slippage happens
- Deploy platforms such as Procore, Asana, or MS Project to organize tasks, maintain documentation, and monitor progress across live construction sites
- Facilitate permitting processes by monitoring submissions, addressing review comments, and coordinating with relevant parties to advance approvals
- Integrate AI-driven tools to streamline planning, documentation, and decision workflows, minimizing manual work and enhancing execution velocity
Requirements:
- Hands-on construction execution experience (field coordination, contractor oversight, or schedule management) with the capacity to describe a particular project, your contribution, and how you navigated execution obstacles
- Experience taking responsibility for or coordinating a project schedule, including building timelines, monitoring milestones, and enforcing deadlines, with at least one instance of addressing a delay or schedule variance
- Competency with at least one digital project management platform (e.g., Procore, Asana, MS Project) and the ability to articulate how it was applied on an actual project
- Familiarity with construction trade sequencing and the ability to describe a scenario where sequencing choices influenced the project schedule
- Practical understanding of permitting workflows (submissions, reviews, revisions, AHJ coordination) with direct participation in at least one permitting cycle
- Proven application of AI tools to expedite real-world tasks, including a specific example of the tool employed, output produced, and validation method used
- Availability and willingness to work on-site a minimum of 3 days per week, with roughly 60% travel throughout the United States depending on project requirements
- Based in the United States and authorized to work without requiring visa sponsorship
- Experience managing multiple construction projects simultaneously
- Background in high-velocity or growth-stage build environments where schedules are significantly compressed
- Interest in refining construction workflows through automation or process improvement
