They are seeking an Engineering Director for Technical Programs to provide engineering leadership across various technical programs, focusing on asset management, reliability, and maintenance excellence while driving continuous improvement and risk management within engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
- Enhance and execute the engineering strategy aligned to client objectives, the asset management, reliability and maintenance programs and business continuity planning
- Apply engineering standards, policies, and technical governance across the IFM portfolio
- Drive consistency in engineering practices and risk management across sites
- Support and partner with facilities operations leaders to further enhance a reliability mindset amongst Facility Managers, Technical Supervisors, and Engineering staff
- Drive community of practice forums and programs to enhance technical competency and engagement across the portfolio
- Drive continuous improvement within engineering teams
- Support procurement strategies, technical evaluations, and vendor performance reviews
- Promote standardization and knowledge sharing across accounts and regions
- Support client Asset Management program to include alignment with the AM Framework, standards, and programs
- Perform gap analyses of standards and processes to identify and eliminate or mitigate risks
- Support root cause analyses, lessons learned and remedial actions in response to asset failures or the identification of significant risks
- Develop, enhance and deploy preventive, predictive, and reliability based maintenance programs such as Reliability Centered Maintenance, PM optimization, Alarm Analytics, and Fault Detection & Diagnostics
- Drive improvement in asset and work order data quality through standards and community of practice forums
- Validate effectiveness of maintenance strategies to reduce risk and business disruptions
- Develop a Building Optimization Program to centralize a team of energy, MEP, reliability and building automation SMEs to identify and implement new strategies to reduce operational risk, improve reliability, and unlock sustainable energy savings across the portfolio
- Manage the risk management program to drive best practices across the portfolio
- Support and encourage the proactive identification of site, infrastructure and process risks within Quantum
- Partner with facilities operations leaders to assign and action tasks within Quantum
- Support the effective use of CMMS, asset data, and analytics platforms for data-driven decisions relative to the Asset Risk & Compliance program and capital planning
- Review operational dashboards to identify trends in work orders, reliability, cost, and risk
- Provide feedback and rules development input for the enhancement of the Next Action Engine tool
- Provide engineering input to operating budgets, capital plans, and financial forecasts
- Review major engineering spend, scope development, and cost justifications
- Identify cost avoidance and efficiency opportunities without increasing operational risk
- Support scope expansion, self-perform opportunities, and new site / scope development
Requirements:
- 8 or more years of related experience including strong client interfacing and relationship management, leadership, risk management and financial/business acumen
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Prefer degreed Engineer
