Deepgram is the leading platform for Voice AI, providing real-time APIs for speech-to-text and text-to-speech technologies. They are seeking a Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer to drive technical pre-sales engagements, collaborate with the sales team, and demonstrate the value of their platform to customers. This role involves leading technical discovery, building proof-of-concepts, and acting as a technical authority to bridge AI technology with customer business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead technical discovery and solution design for enterprise prospects and customers
- Architect and implement custom proof-of-concepts and technical demonstrations that address specific customer use cases
- Provide expert guidance on API integration, performance optimization, and deployment strategies
- Partner with Account Executives to navigate technical objections and accelerate the sales cycle
- Contribute to technical content creation including implementation guides, reference architectures, and best practices
- Mentor junior team members and share technical knowledge across the organization
- Represent the voice of the customer to product and engineering teams
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solutions architecture, or similar customer-facing technical roles
- Strong software engineering background with professional development experience in at least one modern programming language, such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar languages
- Proven track record of successfully navigating complex technical sales cycles
- Experience building and demonstrating proof-of-concepts or technical solutions to diverse audiences
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with speech recognition, NLP, AI/Voice agents, or related AI technologies
- Experience building customer-facing demos and sample code
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes (K8s)
- Experience with API-first products and developer tools
- Background in sales methodologies such as Triangle, MEDDIC, or Solution Selling
