Catalyse Research is seeking a Business Development Manager with strong experience in the market research industry to lead sales and client acquisition efforts. The role involves driving new business development, managing the full sales cycle, and building relationships with clients in the market research space.
Responsibilities:
- Drive new business development and revenue growth for the company
- Identify, approach, and convert new clients in the market research space
- Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing
- Build and maintain strong relationships with research buyers, agencies, and end clients
- Understand client research needs and propose suitable solutions
- Coordinate with internal operations/project teams to ensure smooth handover of sold projects
- Prepare sales pitches, proposals, and commercial discussions
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and consistently meet revenue targets
- Track market trends, competitor activity, and new business opportunities
- Represent the company professionally in client calls, meetings, and industry interactions
Requirements:
- Must have at least 7+ years of experience in a market research company
- Must have worked in a client-facing sales/business development role
- Strong understanding of the market research industry, including sample sales, full-service research, or panel solutions
- Proven track record in lead generation and closing new business
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote setup
- Comfortable working across different time zones when needed
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and proactive in approach
- Existing network within market research agencies, brands, or insights teams
- Experience selling B2B research services, online sample, panel, or data collection solutions
- Familiarity with CRM tools and sales reporting
- Experience working with international clients is a plus
