CBRE is a global leader in commercial real estate services and investment. As a Technical Supervisor, you will oversee engineering operations and guide a team to ensure optimal facility performance through proactive maintenance and efficient system operations.
Responsibilities:
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety
- Review work orders and resolve complex issues
- Consult with clients to schedule preventive maintenance and other downtime to minimize business interruption and inconvenience
- Formulate and implement a preventive maintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life
- Inspect the work performed by staff members
- Determine that work is complete, equipment is fully functional and client space is in prime working condition
- Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed
- Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values
- Impact the quality of own work
- Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
- Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered
- Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more
- Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems
- Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc
- Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset
- Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations
