Netflix is a leading entertainment company focused on pushing the boundaries of storytelling and technology. They are seeking a Senior Product Designer to join the Payments XD team, where the primary responsibilities include designing payment experiences for new members, enabling market launches, and driving cross-functional commerce innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Design Strategy for Global Acquisition: Design and optimize the end-to-end payment experiences for new members signing up for the first time, ensuring highly localized, high-conversion flows across various platforms and payment methods worldwide
- Evolve Payments Platform: Champion the evolution of Payments as a Service, thinking beyond singular flows into design frameworks, scalable platform components, and repeatable excellence to support new lines of business
- Enable New Market and Product Launches: Partner directly with Regional teams, Engineering, and Product Management to understand complex financial, regulatory, and technical requirements to launch compliant, reliable payment experiences in new high-priority markets
- System Foundation: Own and contribute to the foundation of our payments design system: defining archetypes, setting patterns, and driving consistency that scales across all payment methods and markets
- Drive Cross-Functional Commerce Innovation: Act as the Payments design partner to new lines of business. You will define how payment methods are integrated and presented within these new product ecosystems, ensuring alignment with the core commerce architecture
- Simplify Global Complexity: Synthesize massive amounts of regulatory, localization, and technical constraints into elegant, simple, and trustworthy user flows that build confidence during the checkout and signup process
Requirements:
- 7+ years of product design experience, with a background in designing large-scale systems and platforms
- Demonstrated Expertise in Cross-Functional Influence: Proven ability to partner with engineering, product management, and business stakeholders, acting as a strategic thought partner rather than just an executor
- Deep Systems Thinking: Highly skilled at solving for scale by creating reusable, foundational components and patterns that can be adopted by multiple downstream product teams
- Experience in Global/Localization: Familiarity with the unique design challenges inherent in international product expansion
- Mastery of Simplification: You thrive in ambiguous environments and can take highly complex, technical, or regulated processes and translate them into clear, inclusive, and seamless user experiences
- Domain experience designing for payments, e-commerce, financial services, or global platforms is not required, but a strong plus
