Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer

Job Summary We are seeking a Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer to support the development of integrated medical data and analytics solutions. This role focuses on building scalable data pipelines, transforming data from a data lake into curated datasets, and enabling downstream teams to generate actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Google Cloud Platform, advanced SQL skills, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines within Google Cloud Platform environments. Develop and optimize SQL queries, primarily using BigQuery, for data transformation and analysis. Extract and transform data from data lakes to create integrated medical claims and analytics datasets. Collaborate with product owners, analysts, and engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver data solutions. Support the creation of curated data layers for downstream analytics and reporting. Participate in peer code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices before production deployment. Work across multiple tools and platforms to support data engineering initiatives. Proactively engage with stakeholders to clarify requirements and address challenges in ambiguous scenarios. Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and performance across data pipelines. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in data engineering. Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), specifically in data engineering use cases. Advanced proficiency in SQL, including complex query development and optimization. Experience working with BigQuery for large-scale data processing. Strong understanding of data pipeline design, data modeling, and data transformation. Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Snowflake and DBT. Background in healthcare, pharmacy, or related domains. Experience working with diverse data tools and platforms. Strong organizational skills and ability to adapt to evolving requirements.
