Sanitation Technician
Overall Goal of Position
Be an integral part of keeping production operating and ensure safe cleaning practices of production machines.
3rd Shift: 10:30 pm - 7:00 am (Monday - Friday)
Starting Wage $20.25 ($18.50 - $1.75/hour Shift Differential)
Job Summary Sanitation Technician
Primary responsibilities include safely and efficiently cleaning and sanitizing the dressing and mayonnaise production process equipment, supporting quality assurance activities and timely completion of all required sanitation documentation. This employee is responsible for the cleaning and sanitizing of production machines. Included in overall duties is to disassemble and assemble other production equipment, operate sanitation equipment record and report accurate measurements and counts, troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment. Maintain safe and sanitary conditions throughout plant. Requires close communication and coordination with Production supervisor, packaging and process lead persons, scheduling, quality assurance, maintenance, and warehousing.
What will you do?
• Detailed Knowledge of how to disassemble, clean and reassemble the production lines.
• Operation of Sanitation Equipment Such as Foamers, COP Troughs, and Floor Scrubber
• Take the initiative to organize and accurately perform all job functions required to fulfill plant sanitation standards.
• Take action necessary to insure continuous optimal sanitation.
• Complete required reports.
• Understanding of cleaning chemicals and their uses and precautions.
• Knowledge of soils and soil elimination.
• Communicate clearly with others in process, packaging, and support positions.
• Safely operate pallet jack to move materials.
• Regular attendance is an essential part of this function.
• Coordinate system cleaning so that work is done efficiently and correctly.
• Follow and adhere to safety, operating, AIB, and GMP procedures
• Train co-workers in operation of system and procedures as directed.
• Other functions as required
• Management retains the discretion to change these duties at any time without notification.
The Ideal Candidate Will have:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED): or one to three months-related experiences and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of formulation process is very beneficial.
• Understand and utilize process operation to perform functions as required for efficient sanitation equipment.
• Must be able to accurately perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division functions as required for efficient materials management and production.
