$40,656 - $49,804; commensurate with experience
Working from within Building Services - Construction/Renovation Shop, perform general electrician services for projects that include moving, adding or removing electrical outlets, light fixtures and switches, or other electrical devices, including photocontrols and timers. Perform a variety of work in the maintenance and repair of buildings at various facilities/sites including electrical, plumbing, masonry, and carpentry. Assist with other elements of projects as assigned. Adding or replacing water fountains. Work locations include the main university campus and all off-campus properties. Emergency overtime and after hour callbacks required.
High School diploma or High Equivalency (HSE) required. Ability to obtain backflow testing certification within six month probationary period required.
Three years of direct experience with increasingly responsible building and plant maintenance work to include knowledge of electrical, plumbing, providing material take offs for preliminary scheduling, masonry and concrete work, carpentry, or painting.
Valid Tennessee drivers license required.
Five years direct electrician experience with increasing responsibility in building and plant maintenance desired. Knowledge of and experience in other building trades skills or related maintenance work.
