Structural Engineer

LanceSoft, Inc. is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with extensive experience in heavy industrial and power plant projects. The role involves providing structural engineering services, conducting designs and calculations, and supporting field operations.

Responsibilities:

• Providing structural engineering services and field support
• Conducting preparation of designs and calculations
• Conducting site walk downs of construction sites
• Developing cost estimates and material takeoffs
• Providing schedule and staffing input for projects
• Producing and checking structural steel design calculations and drawings

Requirements:

• 30+ years heavy industrial/power plant experience
• accredited bachelor's & master's degree in engineering
• professional engineering license
• detailed knowledge of structural steel and concrete design principles and industry methodologies
• significant structural steel connection design experience
• proficiency with structural codes and standards
• extensive knowledge of heavy industrial structures and components
• strong computer skills - proficiency with structural computer programs such as STAAD PRO
• proficiency with OSHA regulations
• able to coordinate and manage multiple large scale, multi-discipline projects
• able to perform structural inspections and provide written report
• strong problem solving and decision making abilities
• ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff and/or vendors
