Entegee is seeking a Licensed Electrical Engineer (PE) with strong experience in MEP design environments, particularly within healthcare and hospital renovations. The role involves reviewing existing MEP drawings, developing practical engineering solutions, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on renovation projects.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key Electrical Engineering resource on hospital renovation and retrofit projects
- Review existing MEP drawings and field conditions to determine what was designed vs. what was actually built
- Respond to RFIs by investigating prior design intent and engineering compliant solutions/fixes
- Perform design review, correction, and validation of electrical systems in existing facilities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary MEP teams to ensure integrated system coordination
- Support ongoing design efforts in a design center environment, maintaining continuity of engineering standards
- Provide engineering judgment when documentation is incomplete or conflicts exist in legacy systems
- Participate in project kickoff discussions and help define electrical scope and constraints
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, healthcare standards, and facility requirements
Requirements:
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (Electrical Engineering) required
- Strong background in MEP design environments
- Experience in hospital, healthcare, commercial, municipal, or similar building systems
- Ability to interpret as-built conditions vs. original design intent
- Experience with RFIs, design clarifications, and engineering problem-solving in active projects
- Comfortable working in a remote, collaborative consulting environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical solutions clearly to project teams
- Experience working in or supporting a design center / consulting engineering workflow
- Healthcare/hospital: 1 year (Required)
