HireTalent is a staffing and recruiting firm seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead high-visibility, enterprise-level IT security and compliance initiatives. The role requires strong governance and communication skills to manage complex, compliance-driven programs across matrixed teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage enterprise IT security and compliance projects, including multi-phase, multi-year initiatives
- Take ownership of in-flight projects, actively managing scope, schedule, milestones, risks, dependencies, and action items
- Ensure successful project delivery by proactively identifying and resolving issues that may impact outcomes
- Track deliverables, risks, and dependencies; escalate concerns clearly and appropriately to stakeholders
- Drive accountability across shared and matrixed resource teams without direct people management authority
- Ensure adherence to PMO governance, compliance standards, methodologies, and documentation requirements
- Prepare and distribute clear agendas, meeting notes, and status reports with strong attention to accuracy and timing
- Execute and maintain effective communication plans across project stakeholders
- Manage project scope, risks, budgets, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle
- Support collective portfolio tracking and coordination with other project managers
- Serve as a bridge between business and IT, translating objectives, risks, and impacts for diverse audiences
- Represent the organization professionally while supporting corporate programs, goals, and initiatives
Requirements:
- 5–7+ years of dedicated project management experience (project management must be the core role)
- PMP certification – REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) preferred
- Proven experience managing large, high‐impact, enterprise initiatives
- Strong experience working in regulated or compliance‐driven environments
- Demonstrated ability to work with and present to senior leadership (Director/VP level)
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Project and standard PM tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, time‐management, and risk‐management skills
- Proven ability to drive results through influence rather than authority
- Strong history of role stability and professional tenure
- Experience supporting enterprise IT security, risk, audit, or compliance programs
- Background working within formal PMO governance structures
- Experience managing cross‐functional teams in large, complex organizations
