Altana is a network for trusted trade, leveraging AI to enhance global trade resilience and security. The Principal Product Manager for Supply Chain Intelligence will lead efforts to provide multi-tier visibility into supply chains and translate that insight into actionable strategies for importers and logistics providers.
Responsibilities:
- Partner Deeply with Customers
- Make Complex Data Actionable
- Design AI-Native Workflows
- Connect the Workflow Across Surfaces
Requirements:
- You're a builder of data-intensive products for non-technical users
- You've worked on products where the core challenge was making complex, high-dimensional data explorable and actionable for people who aren't analysts or engineers
- You have real opinions about the right AI-patterns to surface meaningful insights to users
- You thrive in ambiguity
- Altana is defining a new way of working in the trade space. The problems we solve are multi-dimensional, across technology, policy, and user experience
- You find working on a complex problem space with no clear right answer to be energizing
- You iterate quickly
- You come from a startup where you owned problems end to end
- You default to prototypes and not product specs
- You're more interested in learning fast than being right the first time
- You think in AI-first patterns
- You don't add AI to existing workflows. You design workflows differently because AI exists
- You build and prototype with AI tools regularly
- You have side projects that demonstrate this
- You communicate clearly
- You can explain a data model to a compliance manager and a compliance workflow to an engineer
- You write well
- You bring people along without over-explaining
- You're excited to learn a new domain
- Global trade is complex and consequential
- You don't need to come from the domain, but you need to be the kind of person who gets energized by learning it deeply and building products that make it accessible
- 8+ years of product management experience, with meaningful time at a high-growth, startup delivering hosted solutions to a wide variety of user personas
- Track record of building data-intensive products: analytics platforms, business intelligence tools, compliance or risk management software, or similar insight-driven solutions
- Demonstrated AI/ML product experience. You've shipped AI-powered features with measurable results that connect them to customer value. Bonus if you have ML product management experience
- Strong prototyping skills. Comfortable using AI tools, design tools, or code to rapidly test ideas before production investment. Experience using tools to accelerate product development velocity and increase value delivered to customers
- Technical degree (CS, engineering, or quantitative discipline) is a plus
- Familiarity with global trade, supply chain, customs, or regulatory compliance is a meaningful plus, but a fast learner with the right product instincts matters more than domain tenure
