Job Title: SAP EWM Solution Architect
Location: Remote (with travel to Illinois for key phases workshops, cutover, go-live)
Duration: Contract / Long-Term (based on project)
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Solution Architect who can own end-to-end solution design and act as the design authority across implementation phases. This is not a support or configuration role the consultant must lead architecture, design decisions, and warehouse optimization strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end SAP EWM solution architecture and design
- Lead design workshops with business stakeholders and drive global vs. local process decisions
- Act as design authority across all EWM implementation phases
- Design and optimize warehouse processes including:
- Slotting & rearrangement
- Labor Management
- Wave Management
- WOCR (Warehouse Order Creation Rules)
- Interleaving strategies
- Create and review WRICEF objects and functional documentation:
- FDD (Functional Design Documents)
- FS (Functional Specifications)
- PPF configurations
- Lead and support:
- Integration design (EWM with ECC/S4, TM, etc.)
- SIT, UAT, and testing cycles
- Cutover planning and execution
- Go-live and hypercare support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (MM, SD, PP, TM)
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of SAP experience with strong focus on SAP EWM
- Proven experience as SAP EWM Solution Architect / Lead
- Must have led end-to-end EWM implementations (greenfield or brownfield)
- Strong expertise in:
- Decentralized & Embedded EWM
- Warehouse optimization techniques
- RF Framework, PPF, Queue Management
- Experience in design authority / architecture governance role
- Strong stakeholder communication and workshop facilitation skills
- Experience with S/4HANA EWM is highly preferred

- Exposure to automation / robotics integration
- SAP Activate methodology knowledge
