Position Summary
Lippert Mechanical is seeking a proactive and experienced Safety Manager to lead and enhance our safety programs across assigned business units. This role is responsible for promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting field operations through training, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in both field and office environments and is passionate about creating safe, compliant, and high-performing job sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion a company-wide safety culture by working closely with employees at all levels
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety policies, programs, and procedures
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI, and all federal, state, and local safety regulations
- Conduct regular job site inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards
- Lead incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
- Maintain accurate safety records, including OSHA logs and incident documentation
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual safety reports
- Develop and deliver safety training programs, including new hire orientation and ongoing education
- Organize and facilitate safety committee meetings and follow up on action items
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related questions, concerns, and regulatory inquiries
- Support PPE evaluation, selection, and compliance
- Assist with permits and required regulatory reporting
- Collaborate with project teams, customers, and vendors to ensure safety requirements are met

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Combination of office and field environments
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Frequent job site visits, which may include exposure to construction environments

Requirements
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred
Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience in a safety role, preferably in construction, HVAC, or mechanical environments
Certifications:
- OSHA 30 Certification required
- CHST, CSP, and/or First Aid/CPR certifications are a plus
