Mobile Engineer

Vercel is a company that provides developers with tools and cloud infrastructure to enhance web performance. They are seeking a Mobile Engineer to design and build iOS and Android apps, create full-stack features, and contribute to open-source projects, playing a key role in delivering exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build polished features for the v0 mobile app
• Architect and build the Vercel iOS and Android apps
• Create delightful, full-stack AI experiences across different codebases
• Contribute to new and existing open source React Native libraries
• Collaborate with the Vercel Mobile team, the v0 team, and other engineering teams to deliver exceptional experiences across multiple product surfaces

Requirements:

• Possess 6+ years of experience in native development
• Skilled in React and React Native, with a proven track record developing high performance apps
• Excellent eye for design, animations, and interactions
• Familiarity with Expo, Reanimated, Nitro Modules, and the broader React Native ecosystem
• Actively maintaining or contributing to open source React Native libraries
• Experience with native modules is a bonus
• Demonstrate a passion for delivering high-quality code, with particular emphasis on polish, performance, and scalability
• Exhibit excellent problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills, especially when collaborating with diverse teams
