Senior Mechanical Engineer

Charles + Charles USA is a construction technology company that helps GCs, Developers and Owners mitigate risk on their construction projects. They are seeking a Director of Field Operations to lead site operations across North America, ensuring excellence in planning, installation, integration, and commissioning of its Construction Risk Mitigation Platform on complex projects.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all field operations from project kickoff through installation, commissioning, and close‑out
• Oversee integration with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, hydronic, and building automation systems
• Manage field teams, subcontractors, and external partners
• Review drawings, scopes, and contracts to ensure constructability and alignment
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex site issues
• Develop and improve installation standards, SOPs, and QA/QC processes
• Act as the senior technical point of contact for clients and contractors
• Support the growth and structure of the field operations team

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline
• 5+ years in MEP construction, field operations, or commissioning
• Strong background in HVAC, plumbing, hydronics, and controls/BAS
• Proven experience commissioning and troubleshooting building systems
• Experience managing multiple complex construction projects concurrently
• Comfortable working on active construction sites and traveling extensively
