The Senior Supplier Quality & Development Engineer will lead supplier quality initiatives and drive improvements in product and process quality while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and develop suppliers by evaluating capability, capacity, risk, and overall performance to meet Regal Rexnord standards
- Support the deployment and compliance of standardized quality processes, policies, and procedures
- Provide influential leadership through mentoring and skill development for both suppliers and internal teams
- Conduct supplier audits, analyze results, and implement Supplier Development Plans and corrective actions
- Lead APQP, PPAP, corrective/preventive actions, and continuous improvement efforts to reduce variation and improve process control
- Partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers on technical quality issues, cost‑reduction initiatives, and supply chain optimization
- Drive improvements in product and process quality using metrics, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration
- Monitor, maintain, and report supplier performance metrics across global manufacturing facilities
- Support resolution of systemic supplier quality issues to improve customer satisfaction
- Implement and promote standardized quality best practices across the supply base
- Train suppliers and internal teams in advanced quality tools and problem-solving methodologies
- Use customer and internal feedback to drive continuous improvement across the supply chain
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering with 7+ years of Supplier Quality and/or Quality Assurance experience
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes with expertise in at least two areas (e.g., castings, forgings, machining, plastics, coatings, heat treatment, metallurgy)
- Proficient in quality tools and methodologies: Six Sigma, APQP, PPAP, PFD, FMEA, PCP, MSA, SPC
- Demonstrated problem‑solving, root‑cause analysis, and statistical methods
- Strong Computer Literacy with MS Office products
- Strong analytical and project management abilities
- Experience with formal supplier assessments, ISO 9001, TS16949, AIAG, CQI and AS9100 based assessments and various supplier audits
- Background in metrology, inspection methods, and new product development
- Experience with ERP systems
- Ability to work effectively across all organizational levels and within matrix teams, including supplier networks
- Proven leadership experience with change management and stakeholder engagement
- Strong organizational and communication skills

- Six Sigma or similar professional certifications
- Programming experience
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge
