Vengel Fellows is seeking a Vice President of Project Management to lead the formulation and execution of the company's project management strategy. This role involves overseeing the Project Management Office (PMO), managing project portfolios, and driving organizational efficiency and capability development.
Responsibilities:
- Develop company-wide project management strategies and development plans
- Establish and continuously optimize the enterprise-level PMO framework
- Institute unified project management standards, processes, and governance mechanisms
- Coordinate the execution of major company-wide projects (strategic-level/cross-departmental initiatives)
- Translate corporate strategic objectives into actionable project portfolios
- Ensure key projects are delivered on time, to quality standards, and in alignment with objectives
- Manage the project portfolio, including prioritization and sequencing
- Optimize resource allocation (human resources, budget, technology)
- Enhance the Return on Investment (ROI) of projects
- Establish a project governance and monitoring system (covering schedule, cost, quality, and benefits)
- Drive the implementation of risk identification, early warning, and response mechanisms
- Oversee project execution and implement timely corrective actions
- Coordinate resources across various business units to facilitate project implementation
- Improve cross-departmental collaboration efficiency and execution consistency
- Champion a project-oriented working culture within the organization
- Establish a project management data framework and analytics mechanisms
- Drive the development and implementation of project management tools and platforms (e.g., PM systems, BI tools)
- Leverage data to drive project decision-making and optimization
- Establish a project performance evaluation system (KPIs/OKRs)
- Facilitate project retrospectives and the capture of lessons learned
- Continuously enhance project management capabilities and organizational efficiency
- Build a high-performance PMO and project management team
- Establish talent development and certification programs (e.g., PMP, Agile)
- Elevate the organization's overall project management maturity
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Management, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred)
- 20+ years of experience in project management
- 10+ years of experience managing large-scale projects or leading a PMO
- Experience managing cross-functional or complex organizational projects
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile, Scrum)
- Possession of strategic thinking capabilities and strong execution skills
- Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational enablement skills
- MBA preferred
