DMaple is seeking a Vice President of Project Management who will be a key leader responsible for establishing the company's project management framework and overseeing the delivery of major projects. This role involves comprehensive accountability for project governance, portfolio management, and advancing strategic initiatives to ensure corporate strategies and objectives are executed effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Formulate the company's overall project management strategy and development roadmap
- Establish the Project Management Office (PMO) and its associated governance structure
- Develop processes and standards for the project lifecycle management
- Drive upgrades to project management methodologies, tools, and systems
- Oversee company-wide project portfolio management
- Evaluate project priorities and their alignment with strategic objectives
- Optimize resource allocation and budget utilization efficiency
- Monitor project Return on Investment (ROI) and value realization
- Lead major cross-functional projects (e.g., digital transformation, new product launches, organizational change initiatives)
- Establish mechanisms for milestone tracking and risk control
- Resolve project conflicts and address critical bottlenecks
- Ensure key projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
- Coordinate resources across departments, including Product, Operations, Marketing, Technology, and Finance
- Break down organizational silos to enhance collaboration efficiency
- Establish mechanisms for project communication and decision-making
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable execution plans
- Establish project KPIs and a delivery assessment framework
- Conduct periodic project retrospectives and facilitate the capture of lessons learned
- Leverage data analytics to improve project success rates
- Report project progress and risks to the CEO or Executive Leadership Team
- Lead the company's project management team and the PMO
- Develop a talent pipeline and competency model for Project Managers
- Promote project management certification and professional development
- Foster a results-oriented project culture
- Establish mechanisms for project risk identification and early warning
- Manage risks related to budget, contracts, and project schedules
- Ensure project execution complies with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Safeguard the company's brand reputation and maintain client trust
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Project Management, Engineering Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 20+ years of experience in project management or general management
- At least 15 years of experience in senior-level project or PMO management
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, complex projects
- Project governance and portfolio management capabilities
- Strategic decomposition and execution-driving capabilities
- Complex problem-solving and risk control capabilities
- Cross-departmental collaboration and executive communication capabilities
- Organizational leadership and team-building capabilities
- PMP, PgMP, or other relevant project management certifications
- An MBA degree
- Experience in cross-regional or multi-business unit project management
- Experience with enterprise-wide digital transformation projects
- Background in international or multi-regional project management
- Experience in project governance within publicly listed companies or large corporate groups
- Experience reporting on major projects to the Board of Directors or CEO
