PayNearMe is a technology company focused on simplifying payments for businesses and their customers. The Sales Manager will lead a sales team targeting banks and credit unions, driving revenue growth and managing client relationships while collaborating with internal teams to refine sales strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership: This role will lead a team of Account Executives, building the strategy around the sales team’s approach to the banking and credit union market
- Pipeline Strategy & Oversight: Own the pipeline health for the banking and credit union segment by setting prospecting standards, monitoring funnel conversion metrics and ensuring sufficient pipeline coverage
- Drive Revenue Growth: Drive consistent attainment of team sales targets by removing obstacles and ensuring disciplined execution across the full sales cycle. banks and credit unions, positioning PayNearMe as a strategic technology partner
- Pricing & Deal Governance: Provide oversight and approval on pricing strategy, deal structuring, and contract terms
- Develop Market Insights: Provide feedback to inform go-to-market strategies and influence product positioning
- Establish High-Level Relationships: Work closely with C-level executives, decision-makers, and stakeholders within financial institutions
- Cross Functionality Leadership: : Collaborate with business development, marketing, product, and customer success teams to align on demand generation, messaging, and onboarding
Requirements:
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience, with at least 3 years in a sales leadership or management role selling technology solutions to banks and credit unions (e.g., core banking systems, treasury management solutions, lending platforms, fintech software)
- Strong understanding of banking operations, money movement (payment use cases), procurement processes, and regulatory considerations within financial institutions
- Tech-savvy with a strong grasp of modern sales tools, CRM systems (Salesforce), and market research methodologies
- Experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or sales
- Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams to refine strategy and execution
- Active involvement in the banking and credit union industry, including attendance at trade shows, familiarity with key publications, and engagement with industry consultants
