Documentum Developer (Hybrid Reston, VA / Plano, TX)

We are seeking a seasoned Documentum Developer with strong enterprise content management experience to join our team. This role requires deep hands on expertise with OpenText Documentum, modern API development, and cloud based environments. The ideal candidate is a self motivated professional who can work independently and collaborate effectively across teams.

Role Objective

Design, develop, and support enterprise scale content management solutions using OpenText Documentum, modern APIs, and AWS cloud services while following Agile best practices.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications Documentum Expertise

• 7+ years of hands on experience designing, developing, and troubleshooting Documentum applications
• Strong experience with:
  • Content Server
  • D2 Config, D2 Classic, D2 Smart View
  • Brava
  • CTS
  • xPlore
  • DFC Client
• Deep understanding of Documentum architecture, object model, and security
• Experience with platform upgrades and migrations

API Development

• 2+ years of experience developing REST APIs using the Spring Framework
• Experience integrating APIs with Documentum or similar ECM platforms preferred

Programming & Tools

• 5+ years of experience with Java and Python
• Proficient with:
  • Git, Jenkins, Jira
  • IntelliJ
  • Tomcat / J2EE
  • Relational databases
• Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns

Software Development Practices

• Familiarity with:
  • Unit testing and code coverage
  • CI/CD and deployment processes
  • Vulnerability management
  • System monitoring and production support

Cloud Experience (AWS)

• 3+ years of experience working with AWS services, including:
  • EC2, ECS, RDS, ALB
  • SSM, SQS, SNS
  • Lambda
  • AWS SDK
• Skilled in:
  • Troubleshooting AWS deployments
  • Reviewing system configurations and security policies
  • Log analysis and issue resolution

Agile Methodology

• Strong experience with Agile Scrum practices, including:
  • Sprint planning
  • Backlog refinement
  • Daily stand ups
  • Retrospectives

Collaboration & Communication

• Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts

Self Management

• Proven ability to manage time, priorities, and tasks independently
