
Job Title: Patient Escort
Position Type: Per Diem as needed
Schedule: Varied Shifts
Location: St. Francis Hospital
Purpose:
To transport patients and equipment safely throughout the St. Francis Medical Center campus.
As a Transporter you Will.
Observe for and report safety hazards and broken vehicles to the Lead Transporter for immediate repair.
Transport patients on stretchers, beds, and wheelchairs from one area of the hospital to designated area within the hospital campus, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for the patient being transported.
Promptly report any concerns of patients and/or happenings during transport to appropriate personnel.
Cooperatively assist in lifting patients in and out of beds as requested, exercising proper lifting techniques.
Clean wheelchairs and ensures that each area has an adequate number.
Keep incident log of transports.
Minimum Qualifications
HS diploma or equivalency (required)
CPR Certification- issue by AHA
Fingerprint & Child Abuse History Clearance (completed during onboarding once hired)
