
Teller (Bilingual) reports to Section Supervisor. This position would be
responsible for receiving, processing and reconciling customer payments made
through the mail, cash, and credit card for all MLGW customers, especially the
customers who are Spanish speaking customers. The employee will also be
responsible for balancing their Teller drawer throughout the day, as well as
reconciling cash/checks for bank deposits. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Receive/
process cash payments from customers through utilization of the iNovah
software system. Processing of petty cash reimbursements from MLGW
employees and process claim invoices, water meter invoices, and general
accounting invoices pertaining to work orders. Utilized the diebold system to
receive and process checks, cash, money order and approved checks payments
from customers toward their utility accounts through the drive-thru and over the
counter. Utilize CIS for customer inquiries pertaining to their utility account.
Interpret and execute credit card payment policy for customers using their credit
card towards utility accounts. Reconcile customer payments for bank deposits.
Process payments received through mail, night depository or company
representatives. Balance and close out Teller windows. Review miscellaneous
customer payments and submit to designated internal MLGW departments for
processing. Contact customers on unsigned or improperly executed payment or
errors and maintain reference file for return payment. Perform other duties as
assigned.
EDUCATION High School Diploma or GED.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Must successfully complete Data Entry Exercises. Group C., Teller Vision
Simulation, Placement/Performance, and customer contact test. Must have a
valid driver's license from state of residence. Required to know basic math and
have good customer service skills with good attention to detail. Ability to speak

and read fluent Spanish. Must display patience, empathy, a calm demeanor and
high degree of professionalism when servicing any and all customers. Physical
Demands: Works inside under good conditions. Sitting, standing and some
twisting within the teller area while processing payments over the counter and/or
through the drive-thru window. Requires light lifting/carrying up to 20 pounds.
