The Strategic Marketing Director will lead client engagements focused on generating positive Marketing ROI and leveraging data analytics to improve client strategies and relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic partner, leveraging data-driven insights to develop marketing strategies that drive client growth and efficiency
- Provide ongoing analysis and custom reporting, using KPIs to measure campaign success and identify areas for optimization
- Conduct in-depth market research, customer segmentation, and competitive analysis to inform client positioning and targeting strategies
- Oversee data strategy and infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration of first-party, third-party, and campaign data for cross-channel analysis
- Provide holistic cross-channel planning and execution across paid, earned, and owned media, ensuring clients achieve maximum ROI
- Develop advanced segmentation and personalization strategies, using data-driven insights to improve engagement and conversions
- Guide clients in MarTech stack implementation, CRM integrations, and automation strategies to enhance efficiency and customer experiences
- Deliver marketing attribution modeling to provide clients with clear insights on budget allocation, performance impact, and long-term strategy
- Act as a trusted advisor to client CMOs and senior leaders, guiding high-level marketing strategy and investment decisions
- Conduct regular strategic reviews and performance deep-dives to ensure alignment with business goals and evolving market dynamics
- Introduce new strategies, emerging technologies, and market opportunities, ensuring clients stay ahead of industry trends
Requirements:
- 4 Year / Bachelors Degree-Bachelors degree in related discipline required
- 10+ years of marketing strategy experience and large client relationship management
- Demonstrated record of leading important marketing engagements and consulting initiatives for client organizations -- and building C Suite relationships. Ideally, this experience comes from both client side tenures and senior agency/consultancy experience
- Deep expertise with all aspects of Marketing including strategic planning, data analytics, data management, marketing technology, designed testing, media optimization, etc
- Experience with cultivating and maintaining client executive relationships
- Familiarity with analytic methodologies and Data Science practices and their role in shaping marketing strategy
- Familiarity with Market Research techniques and strategies
- Very strong written communication skills. Experience with direct client contact and effective presentations
- Ability to interpret analytic findings and present them to non-technical audiences for the purpose of driving marketing and customer treatment strategies
- Expert level understanding of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party data assets and their respective role in driving marketing performance
- Strong understanding of marketing database strategies and applications -- coupled with an ability to draw actionable insights from marketing data for client benefit
- Graduate Degree (Higher education in data sciences, economics, analytic MBA, or similar graduate degree preferred)
